Gary Numan "Anyway, considering that each of us had a terrible gig, all for different reasons, it went rather well. I’ve had a cold for a few days and my voice became a squeaky nonsense, Jimmy’s drum triggers started to go of willy nilly, Tim’s bass amp barely worked all night, Steve accidentally sent his pack sailing across the stage more than once and Ravey’s sustain pedal turned in to an All Volume to Zero pedal. Plus, when I realised how bad my voice was getting I rushed and told everyone to skip Films but meant to say skip ME. So, when ME started I had to stop the song (because my squeak was never going to reach those high notes) and there then followed a lengthy debate on stage about where we were in the set and what to do next. It was a shambles to be honest but the crowd seemed to love it, as did we."
